Ten young people will be picked to work together in teams across England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales. They will be trained to think creatively, mentored for a year and paid to work together as a team of creative thinking entrepreneurs providing social enterprise and sustainable business solutions.
This competition is designed to encourage young people to listen and trust in their instincts, to develop their self reliance, communication and practical skills, to rely on creative thinking to find solutions. We will not be judging these young people on their qualifications or experience, we are interested in their natural ability to think creatively.
Everyone who enters the competition will be given a useful guide written by Trudy Thompson, the Founder of Bricks and Bread Sustainable Living Centre, in which she shares her creative thinking, social enterprise and sustainable business techniques.
This competition will develop on the work Trudy has been doing for the last three years to proactively involve young people of all ages and abilities in creating and running Bricks and Bread Sustainable Living Centre. Valuing what young people think, has inspired them and given them a great deal confidence, whilst making this social enterprise into the ground breaking business it is today.
Trudy Thompson mentors hundreds of entrepreneurs, helps to incubate ventures and every Saturday provides a free advice clinic at Bricks and Bread. Trudy also shares her knowledge as an inspiring guest speaker and runs innovative workshops based on her Change to Save social enterprise & sustainable business system.
Competition winners will be offered;
To learn Trudy Thompson’s Change to Save creative thinking programme for people who want to make a difference.
To find their way forward in life, whether that is running their own business or a career path that fits with them.
