Becoming a Bricks and Bread franchisee – The Process

After you have expressed an interest in becoming a Bricks and Bread Franchisee, we will invite you to an event at the Centre in Aldershot where you hear a presentation by Trudy Thompson the Founder of Bricks and Bread, have a tour of the Centre, see the various aspects of the business in operation and gain a deeper understanding of how our franchise business model works, including the different model options available, the financial and performance information.

At this meeting you will also meet other people who want to become a franchisee, experts who work alongside us supporting our franchisees and have the opportunity to ask us any questions and find out what you need to do next.  You may make as many notes as you like in that meeting after signing a very simple confidentiality agreement. We will not give you any confidential documents to take from that meeting other than the prospectus, a description of the recruitment
process, FAQs and Disclosure document.

After this meeting you may ask us as many questions as you wish, usually by sending us an email or simply giving us a call.  You will be very welcome to come back to
visit us at the Centre for more meetings and we are happy to come to your local area for a meeting, before you need to decide to proceed further – however long that takes – because we want you to be sure of your decision and ensure you have confidence in us.

If you decide to proceed further, we will ask you to sign a ‘letter of intent’ and to make a deposit towards your franchise fee. So we can secure your territory for 60 days whilst you consider whether or not you will take the franchise. We will give you our franchise agreement and information to assist you with the preparation of your business plan together with a business plan template, so that you can review them with your own advisors, solicitor, accountant, family and friends over those protected number of days.  Once you are sure that you want to go ahead we can help you to raise the funds you will need to proceed.

Once you have the necessary funding to start up we will: Complete our negotiations, sign the franchise agreement and collect any joining fees and then book you in for training so that you can get started as soon as possible.

You may of course decide that you are no longer interested at any point in this process and you will only lose the non-refundable element of your deposit (should you withdraw your interest after making the deposit).  We are more interested in collaborating with likeminded people to grow our network of experts and supporters, than collecting franchise fees.  So even if you decide not to run your own franchise we will keep in touch with you and connect you with who does take it on, so you can work with or benefit from a Bricks and Bread hub in your local area.
